Digital Rebar supports two primary image deployment methods. Eikon is our platform’s native image deploy tool, developed specifically for full-lifecycle control. It splits deployment into discrete, observable steps, offering speed, reproducibility, and precise control. Digital Rebar continues to support Curtin for teams, especially those standardizing on Canonical tooling. Image deployment workflows include disk partitioning, image writing, bootloader configuration, and cloud-init integration for first-boot tasks. Images can be created externally using tools like Packer and versioned through Digital Rebar content packs.
